La Commission peut, avec l'approbation du comité forestier permanent, consulter des instituts de recherche et des experts, sélectionnés sur la base d'une procédure d'appel d'offres, et leur confier des contrats, en tenant compte des différents types d'écosystèmes forestiers existant dans l'Union européenne, en vue de développer l'action et de garantir l'évaluation des données recueillies, ainsi que la publication des résultats des évaluations des données.
4. The Commission may, with the approval of the Standing Forestry Committee, consult and contract research institutes and experts selected by means of a tender procedure, taking into account the different types of forest ecosystems within the European Union to develop the scheme and to ensure the evaluation of the data gathered, as well as the publication of results from data evaluations.
