A. overwegende dat de visserijsector van strategisch belang is voor de sociaal-economische situatie, de publieke voorziening van visproducten en het evenwicht van de voedselbalans in de lidstaten en in de Europese Unie zelf, alsook dat deze sector een belangrijke rol speelt voor de sociaal-economische welvaart van de kustgebieden, de lokale ontwikkeling, de werkgelegenheid, het behoud of het scheppen van economische activiteiten met werkgelegenheid op verschillende niveaus, de voorziening van verse vis en het behoud van lokale culturele tradities,
