(4) Un dividende ne peut être réputé, du fait de l’application de l’article 84, avoir été payé par une société à l’un de ses actionnaires, et un actionnaire d’une société ne peut être réputé avoir reçu un dividende sur quelque action du capital-actions de la société si, au moment où le dividende serait, sans le présent paragraphe, réputé, en vertu de cet article, avoir été ainsi reçu ou payé, la société était une société de placement à capital variable.
(4) Section 84 does not apply to deem a dividend to have been paid by a corporation to any of its shareholders, or to deem any of the shareholders of a corporation to have received a dividend on any shares of the capital stock of the corporation, if at the time the dividend would, but for this subsection, be deemed by that section to have been so paid or received, as the case may be, the corporation was a mutual fund corporation.
