This Regulation lays down the conditions under which information provision and promotion measures concerning agricultural products and certain food products based on agricultural products implemented in the internal market or in third countries (‘information provision and promotion measures’), may be fully or partially financed from the Union budget.

The information provision and promotion measures should therefore be opened up to include certain products outside the scope of Annex I to the TFEU.

22 (1) Subject to this section, no person shall promote a tobacco product by means of an advertisement that depicts, in whole or in part, a tobacco product, its package or a brand element of one or that evokes a tobacco product or a brand element.
