In the Barroso II Commission, Ms Jorna was Deputy Head of Cabinet and later Head of Cabinet for Commissioner Barnier (Internal market and financial services).

The career of Mr Schinas, a Greek national, has been varied, including being a Deputy Head and Head of Cabinet to former Commissioners Loyola de Palacio and Markos Kyprianou, serving as a Member of the European Parliament and heading DG ECFIN's Greece Operations in Athens.

Likewise, as Deputy Head and then Head of Cabinet for Commissioner António Vitorino, then responsible for Justice and Home Affairs, Mr Fonseca Morillo was deeply involved in judicial cooperation and fundamental rights issues, including with regards to the Conventions on the Charter of Fundamental Rights and on the future of the EU, respectively.

She is currently Deputy Director General and Head of Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, having previously served in St Petersburg, Dhaka and Brussels.

His previous assignments include the posts of Personal Representative of the EU High Representative in Belgrade (2006-2010); Deputy Head of "Pillar IV" (Reconstruction and Economic Development) of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) (2002-2006); Senior Adviser to the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Kosovo (2001-2002); Legal Adviser to the United Nations Secretary General Special Envoy for the Balkans (2000); Head of Political Department and Senior Adviser to the Head of OSCE in Croatia (1997-1999); Legal Adviser to the High Representative in Sarajevo (1996-1997); and Political A ...[+++]dviser to and Observer in the European Community Monitoring Mission in the former Yugoslavia (1995-1996).

He then worked in the Directorate General for Development (87-91) and was member, deputy head and head of cabinet of three Commissioners, before joining President Romano Prodi's cabinet.
