Depuis 1987, le ministère de l'Agriculture tient soigneusement un registre détaillé des mouvements de tous les bovins infectés par l'ESB, et le plan d'abattage sélectif sera applicable aux animaux issus de vaches chez lesquelles l'ESB était confirmée et aux "cohortes" (c'est-à-dire aux animaux provenant du même cheptel et susceptibles d'avoir été également exposés à des aliments contaminés).
A thorough record of the movements of all bovine animals which have suffered from BSE has been carefully kept by the Ministry of Agriculture since 1987, and the Selective Cull Scheme will consider offspring born to confirmed BSE cases, and to "Cohorts", (those animals from the same herds which could also have been exposed to contaminated feed).
