On liberal bases, I find offensive the idea of assigning gender quotas or quotas of any other nature in a bill.

The division of the two sexes into quotas is not based on the principle of equality since, while male candidates could under no circumstances secure an odd number position on the list, female candidates would still be able to secure the even number positions reserved for male candidates.
