Justement, peu de citoyens nous sont aussi proches que les habitants d'Ixelles, nos voisins bruxellois, et je me réjouis donc du paragraphe de la présente résolution qui nous exhorte, avant de lancer des projets pour de nouveaux bâtiments parlementaires, à faire l'inventaire précis de nos besoins, à analyser les moyens de les satisfaire et à faire peser dans la balance les intérêts des habitants du quartier.
And you cannot get much closer than the people of Elsene, our neighbours in Brussels, and I am therefore delighted with the paragraph in the present resolution which urges us to draw up a sound inventory of what we need, and how we can provide for it, and also to take account of the interests of the citizens in the immediate vicinity, before we start making plans for new Parliament buildings.
