1. La formation de base des infirmiers doit intégrer, de manière systématique et dans une perspective de globalisation, la prévention de la maladie cancéreuse, la participation au dépistage et aux investigations diagnostiques, l'identification des problèmes et la réponse aux besoins spécifiques des patients cancéreux, l'administration de schémas thérapeutiques anticancéreux, la collaboration aux efforts de réadaptation ainsi que l'accompagnement des patients arrivés au stade terminal de leur maladie et la prise en charge de leur famille.
1. Basic training of nurses should include in a systematic and global way the prevention of cancer, participation in detection and diagnosis, identification of the problems of cancer patients and responding to their specific needs, the administration of anti-cancer therapy programmes, participation in rehabilitation as well as the care of patients in the terminal stage of their illness, and the care of the family of cancer patients.
