Comme la pêche européenne au thon blanc de l'Atlantique nord regroupe des navires de plusieurs États membres qui utilisent des engins de pêche différents – ligne de traîne, appât vivant, chalut pélagique et filet dérivant -, de capacité de pêche variée, et que l'HISSAT considère que la conversion et la pondération des activités par engin de pêche sont essentielles, les questions suivantes sont posées à la Commission :
In view of the fact that European white tuna fishing in the North Atlantic involves vessels from various Member States using a variety of fishing techniques (troll lining, live bait, pelagic trawl and drift netting) and with a wide range of individual fishing capacity, and given that the ICCAT regards it as essential that fishing effort should be converted and weighted according to the technique used, would the Commission answer the following questions?
