For four wild bird species France does not in its domestic legislation provide for the set of stipulations that the Directive intends for all wild bird species. These four species are: Larus argentatus (Herring Gull), Larus ridibundus (Black-headed Gull), Larus cachinnans (Yellow-legged Gull), Phalocrocorax carbo sinensis (Cormorant, continental sub-species).
