Compte tenu du volume et de la technicité des spécifications à imposer, la Commission européenne a décidé de fixer dès à présent les éléments principaux du système, notamment le gabarit des infrastructures, l'écartement des rails, la longueur et la hauteur des quais, la tension d'alimentation, la signalisation.
Taking into account the volume and technical nature of the specifications to be laid down, the European Commission has decided to fix already the main elements of the system, and in particular the infrastructure and track gauges, platform length and height, power-supply voltage and signalling.
