The Commission shall inform the Member States well in advance, and no later than six weeks before an entry requested pursuant to the second subparagraph, of its intention to request such an entry.

Indeed, approximately 75,000 additional individuals applied for founding membership during the 36-month period, bringing the total number of applications to more than 101,000, a number that represents 11 per cent of all registered Indians in all of Canada.
