Au lieu de proposer des mesures pour respecter la dignité des travailleurs et atténuer l’insécurité croissante de millions d’entre eux, en particulier des femmes et des jeunes, conformément à la revendication des participants à la manifestation organisée par la Confédération générale des travailleurs portugais le 5 juillet à Guimarães, on accorde la priorité à la flexicurité, qui sous-entend avant tout la flexi-exploitation des travailleurs.
Instead of proposing measures to respect the dignity of working people, and to alleviate the increasingly insecure situation of millions of workers, particularly women and young people – as several thousand people demanded at the demonstration organised by the General Confederation of Portuguese Workers on 5 July in Guimarães – what we are seeing is an emphasis on flexisecurity, which more than anything else means flexi-exploitation of the workers.
