La réalisation du Marché intérieur lui confère une nouvelle dimension qui exige dès maintenant un certain nombre d'adaptations prioritaires" a déclaré Mme Scrivener, Commissaire chargé de la fiscalité, de l'Union douanière et des prélèvements obligatoires".
On the initiative of Mrs Scrivener, the Commission has adopted a communication to the Council and the European Parliament on the part to be played by the customs union in the Single Market.1 Mrs Scrivener, the Member of the Commission with special responsibility for taxation, customs union and matters relating to the overall tax burden, described the customs union as a cornerstone of the Community, the basis for all its external trade.
