Destiné aux enfants et aux jeunes de neuf à seize ans, le projet vise à: 1) sensibiliser les enfants et les jeunes tant aux bénéfices des antibiotiques qu’à la nécessité d’une utilisation prudente de ceux-ci; 2) apprendre aux enfants et aux jeunes comment un usage inapproprié des antibiotiques peut avoir des effets pervers sur les «bons microbes» (good bugs) et sur la résistance aux antimicrobiens; 3) améliorer l’hygiène des mains et l’hygiène respiratoire, réduisant ainsi la propagation des infections respiratoires, gastro-intestinales et cutanées et, partant, la demande d’antibiotiques.
Targeted at 9-16 year-olds, this project aims: 1. to increase awareness of the benefits of antibiotics as well as prudent use; 2. to teach how inappropriate use can have adverse effects on ‘good bugs’ and on antimicrobial resistance; 3. to improve hand and respiratory hygiene, thus reducing the spread of respiratory, gastrointestinal and skin infections and decreasing the demand for antibiotics.
