In this context, I should like to draw your attention to the work going on in the Council of Ministers of the European Union which will result in the introduction of a new generation of electronic tachographs, to the adoption of proposals which the Commission will present at the beginning of next year on access to the road haulage profession as well as to the publication of a White Paper on working time in the sectors currently excluded from Community legislation, including your own.
