Mr. Yvon Charbonneau: If it is acknowledged that these groups are of some use for the development of parliamentarians and for raising the profile of the Canadian Parliament, perhaps to a lesser extent than the recognized associations, could we not provide for some financing and some co-operation from the House services?

With regard to the decision by the UK Government to commission a MOX plant at Sellafield, and given that the Commission is presently examining the compliance of the procedure for granting the authorisation with all provisions of the Basic Safety Standards Directive (96/29/EURATOM) and with the Directive on the assessment of the environmental impact (85/337/EEC) , will the Commission inform the European Parliament whether it will make public its findings and if so, when?
