Les niveaux les plus élevés d'IDE s'observaient ensuite, avec plus de 13% du PIB, au Danemark, aux Pays-Bas et en Suède, alors que le PIB par habitant des deux premiers pays se situait respectivement au troisième et au quatrième rangs dans l'Union européenne, derrière le Luxembourg et l'Irlande, qui avec la Belgique, avaient aussi un niveau d'IDE par rapport au PIB bien supérieur à la moyenne de l'Union.
The next highest levels of FDI, at over 13% of GDP, were in Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden, in the first two of which GDP per head was the third and fourth highest in the EU, behind Ireland and Luxembourg, which with Belgium, also had a level of FDI well above the EU average relative to GDP.
