Dans sa communication, la Commission a exprimé son intention d'examiner s'il convenait d'accorder, lors du réexamen à mi-parcours des documents communautaires de stratégie par pays, un degré plus élevé de priorité à des programmes spécifiques concernant l'immigration et notamment l'immigration clandestine, qui seraient mis en oeuvre parallèlement aux mesures concrètes dans ce domaine qui s'inscrivent déjà dans le cadre des politiques extérieures et des programmes communautaires, tels que MEDA, CARDS, TACIS et PHARE.
In its Communication the Commission expressed its intention to examine the extent to which greater priority should be given to specific programmes relating to migration, including illegal migration, in the framework of the midterm review of the Country Strategy Papers, in addition to the concrete initiatives aimed at addressing migration, including illegal migration, in third countries already integrated in the EC's external policies and programmes, such as MEDA, CARDS, TACIS and PHARE.
