Votre rapporteur se livre en outre à un examen approfondi de la question de la viabilité en abordant certains thèmes importants, comme des solutions permettant de remédier au caractère trop saisonnier du tourisme, une offre touristique diversifiée, viable et accessible à tous, la généralisation des itinéraires touristiques axés sur la culture et la religion, ainsi que des réseaux tels que NECsTOUR et EDEN et la mise à profit de grandes manifestations européennes pour promouvoir la "destination Europe".
The rapporteur also develops further the subject of sustainability by including it in several important themes, such as doing away with a seasonal structure that is too rigid, making tourism more diverse, sustainable and accessible to all, stepping up experience on the cultural and religious tourism routes and in networks such as NECsTOUR and EDEN, and using major European events as occasions to promote ‘Europe as a destination’.
