One of the 16 trainees, Giovanni Di Leo, has said that instead of being placed with a car repair firm for the six months' work experience, he ended up at a car wash which had nothing whatever to do with the official description's stated purpose of ‘developing the professional profile of car repairer, as an innovative and complex activity combining the skills of the car-builder and the mechanic’.
