Tout compte fait, si la ligne qui sépare la région de Gaspé du nord du Nouveau-Brunswick représente une différence d'identité—si c'est plus important à mes yeux que le fait que je partage peut-être la même langue ou une histoire sociale ou une culture avec les gens de l'autre côté de cette ligne, ou un peu plus loin, ou avec les gens de la Nouvelle-Écosse, ou même si je ne partage pas leur langue mais le même métier—, bon il faudra en tenir compte.
In the end, if that line that separates Gaspé from northern New Brunswick somehow translates in an identity fashion—that this is more meaningful to me than the fact that I may share language and some social history and culture with the people on the other side of that line, or farther down, or in the province of Nova Scotia, or I don't share language but I share livelihood experiences—then it would translate.
