Il a ajouté: «Contrairement à un pays extrêmement centralisé comme la France, le débat a été mené à la fois à l’échelle fédérale et à l’échelle cantonale et communal, appelant à des réponses au niveau des communautés, et prévoyant des initiatives comme l’instauration d’un bureau de l’intégration dans chaque canton et la répartition géographique des nouveaux arrivants».
He continued: ‘Unlike an extremely centralist country such as France, the debate was led both at the federal level and on a canton and commune scale, calling for community-based responses, and involved initiatives such as setting up an integration office in every canton and the geographic dispersion of new arrivals’.
