4. note que, conformément au paragraphe 14 de sa décision du 7 octobre 1998 donnant décharge sur l'exécution du budget pour l'exercice 1996 - Section I - Parlement européen/Annexe médiateur , sur la nécessité d'organiser régulièrement des concours à l'intention des fonctionnaires ayant une culture informatique ou possédant des qualifications dans le domaine de la comptabilité et de l'audit, il a, avec d'autres institutions, organisé divers concours de ce genre (EUR/A/154, EUR/B/164);

Notes that, in accordance with paragraph 14 of its decision of 7 October 1998 giving discharge in respect of the implementation of the budget for the financial year 1996 - Section I - European Parliament/Ombudsman Annex regarding the need to hold regular competitions for staff who are computer-literate and/or qualified in accounting and auditing, Parliament has jointly with other institutions organised a number of such competitions (EUR/A/154, EUR/B/164);
