Un exercice d'évaluation coordonné, finalisé au début de 1999, a été lancé sous la conduite du Groupe intergouvernemental sur le changement climatique (IPCC), avec la participation du groupe d'étude scientifique de l'ozone (Ozone Science Panel) du protocole de Montréal sous les auspices du Programme des Nations unies pour l'environnement (PNUE) et de l'Organisation météorologique mondiale (OMM), et l'Organisation de l'aviation civile internationale (OACI).
A coordinated assessment involving the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as leading body, the Ozone Science Panel of the Montreal Protocol under the auspices of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was launched and finalised early 1999.
