(c)the participation of experts in the meetings of working groups on scientific and technical issues related to fisheries, such as STECF, as well as in international advisory bodies and in meetings where the contribution of fishery and aquaculture experts is required.

ACTION for annulment of Council Regulation (EU) No 40/2013 of 21 January 2013 fixing for 2013 the fishing opportunities available in EU waters and, to EU vessels, in certain non-EU waters for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks which are subject to international negotiations or agreements (OJ 2013 L 23, p. 54), as amended, in so far as it amalgamates the northern and southern components of the stock of blue whiting in the north-east Atlantic in order to establish the TAC (total allowable catch) for blue whiting set out in Annexes IA and IB of that regulation.

the group of high sea vessels flying the flag of Germany, participating in the fishery indicated in the request from Germany dated 26 March 2010, as completed by correspondence dated 9 April and 20 May 2010, targeting saithe in the North Sea, the EU waters of ICES Zone IIa and in the area to the West of Scotland with bottom trawls of mesh size equal to or larger than 120 mm;

► Reform of existing instruments (see ‘Legislation to be simplified’ below), mainly to: 1) alter the structure of the provisions laying down conditions for the exploitation of fishery resources subject to catch limitations, in particular by separate treatment of catch limitations, technical measures, measures for the management of fishing effort and control measures; 2) target the decisions at uniform groups taking into account the scientific environment when drawing up institutional and administrative opinions, in particular by separating measures aimed at Baltic fish stocks, or by separating provisions concerning the results of negoti ...[+++]ations within the regional fisheries organisations (for example NAFO); 3) develop multiannual approaches, notably by drawing up multiannual management plans such as those that exist (cod, Northern and Southern hake) and in particular for the sole fisheries in the Bay of Biscay and the Western Channel, Baltic cod and sole and plaice in the North Sea.
