1. The Platform shall cooperate effectively and shall avoid duplication of work with other relevant expert groups and committees at Union level whose work has a link with undeclared work, in particular, the Senior Labour Inspectors Committee, the Expert Committee on Posting of Workers, the Administrative Commission for Social Security Coordination, the Public Employment Services Network , EMCO, SPC and the Working Group on Administrative Cooperation in the field of Direct Taxation.

(d) the establishment of working groups to examine issues specified in its work programmes including the practical arrangements for those working groups, which are to be dissolved once their mandates are fulfilled.

Notes with concern that translation costs vary enormously from one Union institution to another; asks consequently that the Interinstitutional Working Group on Translation determine the causes of these disparities and put forward solutions with a view to ending the inequality and harmonising translation costs, without in any way impairing quality and linguistic diversity; notes, with this in mind, that the working group should relaunch interinstitutional collaboration in order to share best practices and outcomes and determine t ...[+++]hose areas in which interinstitutional cooperation or agreements could be strengthened; notes that the working group should also aim to establish a unified methodology, common to all the institutions, for the presentation of translation costs in order to simplify cost analysis and comparison; notes that the working group should present the results of this work before the end of 2015; calls on all the institutions to play an active part in the proceedings of the Interinstitutional Working Group; points to the fundamental importance of preserving multilingualism in the Union institutions in order to ensure that all Union citizens can enjoy equal treatment and equal opportunities;

Notes with concern the enormous disparities in translation costs among the various Union institutions; calls, therefore, on the Interinstitutional Working Group on Translation to identify the causes of those disparities and put forward solutions that will put an end to the imbalance and harmonise translation costs while ensuring full respect for quality and linguistic diversity; notes, with this in mind, that the working group should relaunch cooperation among the institutions in order to share best practices and outcomes and to identify areas in which cooperation or agreements between the institutions can be strengthened; notes t ...[+++]hat the working group should also aim to establish a unified methodology of presenting the translation costs which all the institutions can use, in order to simplify the analysis and comparison of the costs; notes that the working group should present those findings before the end of 2015; calls on all the institutions to play an active role in the work of the Interinstitutional Working Group; recalls in this regard the fundamental importance of respect for multilingualism in the Union institutions in order to guarantee equal treatment and equal opportunities for all Union citizens;

Believes that such a forum would guarantee an exchange of information and a public debate; using an ‘integrated’ working method, in other words taking account of all the parties concerned (scientists, industries, and non-governmental organisations), together with the European Ethics Group and the high-level working party on life sciences, and aided by permanent communication with the national parliaments of the Union, the forum, consisting of Members of the European Parliament and representatives from the Commission and Council, could meet twice a year for the purpose of evaluating the impact of research investment and taking action ...[+++], via ad hoc contributions which could be taken into account by the competent decision-making bodies of the institutions concerned, on such ethical, legal, economic, and social problems as might periodically arise; with regard to the working methods of this forum, it must be ensured that it receives well-founded scientific assistance and meets the highest standards of transparency and parliamentary scrutiny;
