Or, des fromages non conformes au cahier des charges inhérent à la dénomination «Parmigiano Reggiano» continuent d'être commercialisés sur le territoire allemand sous la dénomination «Parmesan», bien que cette dernière constitue aux yeux de la Commission une traduction, d’inspiration francophone, de la dénomination «Parmigiano Reggiano», comme l’atteste une série d’ouvrages de référence de 1516 à nos jours ainsi que d’autres éléments mettant en évidence une filiation indissoluble entre ces deux dénominations.
Cheeses not made in line with the “Parmigiano Reggiano” specification continue to be sold on German territory under the name “Parmesan”, which in the eyes of the Commission is a translation through French of “Parmigiano Reggiano”, as is shown by published material dating from 1516 to the present time and by other elements underscoring the indissoluble link between the two names.
