This new budget commits $20.9 million to waive firearms licence renewal fees for all classes of firearms.

The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police issued a press release yesterday, complaining that the government had somehow found millions of dollars — indeed, as I said, $20.9 million — to waive firearms licence registration fees, but no money to continue the federal Police Officers Recruitment Fund that was promised by the leader's government to hire 2,500 new police officers across the country.
