Le 3 juin 1987, tous les premiers ministres du Canada, ceux de chaque province et celui du gouvernement fédéral, s'entendent pour la première fois dans l'histoire pour signer un accord constitutionnel qui permettrait au Québec de sauver l'honneur, de réintégrer la famille constitutionnelle et ensuite, de pouvoir aborder dans l'enthousiasme, d'où les mots «honneur et enthousiasme» qui répondent à deux phases.
On June 3, 1987, all of the first ministers of Canada, provincial and federal, reached agreement for the first time in history on the signing of a constitutional accord which would have allowed Quebec to preserve its honour, to return to the constitutional family, and then to come on board with enthusiasm. The words ``honour'' and ``enthusiasm'' correspond to two separate phases.
