(c) in the case of a restraint system other than a car bed, retain the torso of the anthropomorphic test device within the restraint system, and not allow any portion of the target points on either side of the device’s head, located on the transverse axis passing through the centre of mass of the device’s head and perpendicular to the head’s midsagittal plane, to pass at any time, during or immediately after the test, through the transverse orthogonal planes formed by the extension of the seat back frontal surface plane of the restraint system and by the plane that passes through the uppermost point of the restraint system, as shown in F ...[+++]igure 7 of Schedule 7, or through the vertical transverse plane passing through point X on the standard seat assembly, as shown in Figure 8 of Schedule 7;

The deceleration curve of the trolley, in the case of Child Restraint System tests performed in accordance with paragraph 7.1.3.1. above, ballasted with inert masses up to 55 kg in order to reproduce one occupied Child Restraint System, and in the case of Child Restraint System tests in a vehicle body shell performed in accordance with paragraph 7.1.3.2. below, where the trolley is ballasted with the vehicle structure and inert masses up to (x times) 55 kg reproducing the number of (x) occupied Child Restraint Systems, shall remain, in the case of frontal impact, within the hatched area of the graph in Annex 7, Appendix 1 to this Regulat ...[+++]ion, and, in the case of rear impact, within the hatched area of the graph in Annex 7, Appendix 2 to this Regulation.

2.27. ‘Special Needs Restraint’ is a child restraint system designed for children who have special needs as a result of either a physical or mental handicap; this device may in particular permit additional restraining devices for any part of the child, but it must contain as a minimum a primary means of restraint which complies with the requirements of this Regulation.

2.8.5. ‘child-restraint attachment strap’ means a strap which attaches the child restraint to the structure of the vehicle and may be a part of the vehicle-seat retaining device;

6.2.1.1. the restraint gives the required protection in any intended position of the restraint system; for ‘Special Needs Restraints’ the primary means of restraint shall give the required protection in any intended position of the restraint system without the use of the additional restraining devices which may be present.
