L'hon. Sheila Copps (ministre du Patrimoine canadien, Lib.): Monsieur le Président, je respecte et je comprends parfaitement les préoccupations de la députée par rapport à la diversité des voix, mais je trouve plutôt curieux que la rédaction d'un éditorial par un comité de rédaction à Winnipeg et sa diffusion partout au Canada soient plus répréhensibles que le fait d'inclure ses propres articles, comme le propriétaire précédent du journal avait l'habitude de le faire, et de les faire imprimer assez régulièrement à titre de nouvelles.
Hon. Sheila Copps (Minister of Canadian Heritage, Lib.): Mr. Speaker, while I fully understand and respect the concern of the hon. member about diversity of voices, I find it rather strange that an editorial which is written by an editorial board in Winnipeg and travels across the country is somehow more egregious than the fact that the previous owner of that paper used to put his own stories in and they were printed on a fairly regular basis as news.
