Pursuant to Article 218(7) of the Treaty, it is appropriate for the Council to authorise the Commission to approve certain limited modifications of the Agreement concerning geographical indications to be adopted by the Trade Committee, as proposed by the Subcommittee on Intellectual Property pursuant to Article 209(2) of the Agreement.

13. Calls on the Commission, with regard to the transparency of operations of the Article 188n of the Treaty of Lisbon (Article 133 of the EC Treaty) Committee, to make available all documents to Parliament's Committee on International Trade;

1. The Commission shall be assisted by the committee established under Article 18(1) of Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 of 9 December 1996 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein .

4. The Committee mentioned in Article 16 may modify this Agreement by means of a decision to extend the scope to other sanitary and phytosanitary measures affecting trade between the Parties.

What is more, the chairman of the Article 133 Committee invited all members of the Committee on Industry, External Trade, Research and Energy to an informal meeting on 31 May 2001.

80. Calls on the Commission to keep it fully informed, in accordance with the undertakings given by the Commissioner for Trade during the EP hearings, before and, to an equal extent, during the Ministerial Conference in Seattle and throughout the Millennium Round, and to discuss with it, as soon as possible in accordance with a strict timetable laid down after the Seattle Ministerial Conference on the basis of the resolutions adopted by Parliament, in the form of an ongoing and wide-ranging consultation the essential elements of the EU's negotiating strategy; underlines the urgent need for new procedures which will ensure full provision ...[+++] of information to it on the work and calendar of and the decisions taken by the 133-committee;
