– (DE) Mr President, as if it were not embarrassing enough that information has leaked out in the middle of the negotiations on the comprehensive economic and trade agreement (CETA), the accusation has also been made that Canada is being forced to adapt its copyright laws to US and EU standards as part of the CETA and the anti counterfeit trade agreement (ACTA).

Selection and evaluation criteria In order to be selected, the tourist destinations had to meet as many as possible of the following criteria: . drafting and implementation of a tourism development plan which respected the environment; . measures to ensure improved distribution of the flows of visitors over time and space; . innovative measures for the management of natural resources; . effective cooperation between the public and private operators concerned, and between the various administrative levels; . protection of natural sites; . restoration of run-down buildings and sites; . programmes for reducing nuisances, such as noise ...[+++], pollution, waste etc.; . specifications for architecture and decoration for integrating buildings and infrastructure into the environment; . tourism/environment training programme for persons working in the sector; . awareness campaigns on environmental protection for visitors and inhabitants; . scrupulous respect for national and European legislation on sustainable tourism and the environment.
