We learned that, following Canada ’s ratification of the LOS Convention in 2003, Canada has 10 years in which to establish the outer limits of its juridical continental shelf beyond 200 miles([95]) and file a claim to the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, which considers such requests.
