Stresses that the provisions of Point 47 of the Interinstitutional Agreement of 17 May 2006 on budgetary discipline and sound financial management (IIA) will apply for the setting-up of the European Asylum Support Office; stresses that, should the legislative authority decide in favour of the setting-up of such an agency, Parliament will enter into negotiations with the other arm of the budgetary authority with a view to coming to a timely agreement on the financing of the agency in line with the relevant provisions of the IIA;

The financing of the Office should be subject to an agreement by the budgetary authority as set out in point 47 of the Interinstitutional Agreement of 17 May 2006 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on budgetary discipline and sound financial management .

6. A bureau may not of its own volition or without the written consent of the insurer or Bureau concerned, entrust the claim to any agent who is financially interested in it by virtue of any contractual obligation.
