La Commission considère que les négociations devraient être achevées une fois que la Croatie remplira les critères de clôture en suspens, en particulier dans le domaine du pouvoir judiciaire et des droits fondamentaux, notamment en matière de lutte contre la corruption, ce qui permettra à l'UE de ne plus devoir envisager le recours à un mécanisme de coopération et de vérification après l'adhésion.
The Commission considers that negotiations should be concluded once Croatia has met outstanding closing benchmarks, in particular in the field of judiciary and fundamental rights, including the fight against corruption, thus removing the need for the EU to consider a cooperation and verification mechanism after accession.
