Mr. Svend Robinson: And if that is correct—let me just follow this through—you're saying that if the diplomat is even apparently quite drunk in the opinion of the police, if that diplomat insists on continuing to drive and says “I'm a diplomat, you can't detain me”, under the existing conventions the police would have no power legally to detain that person and to stop that person from driving off, and driving off and thereby endangering quite possibly the lives of people in that community.
