3. Les dispositions de la présente section ne seront appliquées que si, de l'avis des autorités de douane de départ, il est possible d'identifier sans difficulté, grâce à la description qui en est donnée, les marchandises pondéreuses ou volumineuses transportées, ainsi que, le cas échéant, les accessoires transportés en même temps, ou de les munir de scellements douaniers et/ou de marques d'identification, de façon à empêcher toute substitution ou soustraction de ces marchandises sans qu'il en subsiste des indices manifestes.
3. The provisions of this section shall apply only if, in the opinion of the authorities at the Customs office of departure, the heavy or bulky goods carried and any accessories carried with them can be easily identified by reference to the description given, or can be provided with Customs seals and/or identifying marks so as to prevent any substitution, or removal of the goods, without it being obvious.
