Enfin, en ce qui concerne la modification du règlement concernant les allégations de santé, je souhaite répéter ici que j'estime prioritaire que l'AESE et la Commission évaluent scientifiquement l'étiquetage des produits destinés aux enfants en matière de santé de manière à éviter la promotion de produits qui ne sont pas équilibrés sur le plan nutritionnel sur la base d'étiquettes reprenant de fausses allégations.
Finally, as regards amendment of the Health Claims Regulation, I should like to take the opportunity in this report to reiterate the need for the EFAS and the Commission, as a matter of absolute priority, to bring scientific assessment to bear on the health claims made for children’s foods in order to prevent nutritionally unbalanced products being promoted on the strength of untruthful health claims.
