According to an Irish government circular of 12 October 1983, Portland cement to be used in works carried out by or on behalf of local authorities, or in works assisted by them, should be certified as complying with the Irish Standard Specification (IS 1:1963) in accordance with the Irish Standard Mark Licensing Scheme of the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards.
Conformement a une circulaire du gouvernement irlandais du 12 octobre 1983, le ciment Portland destine aux travaux effectues par les autorites locales ou au nom de celles-ci, ou aux travaux effectues avec son assistance, doivent faire l'objet d'un certificat de conformite aux normes irlandaises (IS 1:1963), sur la base du systeme d'autorisations des marques irlandaises de l'Institut de la recherche et des normes industrielles.
