Guarantee all persons able to prove that they are residing in Canada, upon proof of status that does not require extensive identification, an account with a deposit-taking financial institution, including the option of a low cost, no frills account, and protection from arbitrary and excessive holding of cheques (See the CCRC's Position Paper No. 2, Access to Basic Banking Service: Ensuring A Right to this Essential Service for details).
7. Garantir que toutes les personnes pouvant faire la preuve qu'elles résident au Canada, sans que cette preuve n'exige un processus d'identification exhaustif, la possibilité d'ouvrir un compte à une institution financière de dépôt, notamment un compte n'offrant que les services essentiels et ne comportant que peu de frais, et la protection contre la rétention arbitraire et excessive des chèques (voir l'énoncé de principes n 2 de la CCRC, Accès aux services bancaires de base: Garantir le droit à ces services essentiels).
