The reality is that there have been so many fundamental structural changes to the global and Canadian economies since 1972 that we desperately need a thorough study, review and perhaps royal commission to deal with the tax changes we need as a country, with the objective of building a fairer and, in terms of economic growth, a potentially more competitive capacity to attract investment, as well as a simpler tax system.
En fait, la structure des économies canadienne et mondiale a subi tant de changements fondamentaux depuis 1972 qu'il nous faut absolument une étude, un examen exhaustif, et même une commission royale, pour se pencher sur les modifications fiscales dont le pays a besoin, afin de créer un régime fiscal plus simple, de même qu'un contexte plus équitable et, du point de vue de la croissance économique, potentiellement plus compétitif et susceptible d'attirer les investissements.
