At the EU level, Directive 2005/60/EC of 26 October 2005 on the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering and terrorist financing[3] (hereinafter referred to as the Third AMLD) sets out the framework designed to protect the soundness, integrity and stability of credit and financial institutions and confidence in the financial system as a whole, against the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing.
Au niveau de l’UE, la directive 2005/60/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 26 octobre 2005 relative à la prévention de l’utilisation du système financier aux fins du blanchiment de capitaux et du financement du terrorisme[3] (ci-après dénommée la «troisième directive anti-blanchiment») établit le cadre destiné à protéger de ces menaces la solidité, l’intégrité et la stabilité des établissements de crédit et des autres établissements financiers, ainsi que la confiance dans le système financier.
