If at the start of the contract a procedure to calculate the lending rate is agreed between the household or non-financial corporation and the reporting agent for a certain period of time, for example 6-month EURIBOR plus 2 percentage points for three years, the initial rate fixation period is not considered to be three years, but six months, since the value of the interest rate may change every six months during the three years.
Si, au début du contrat, le ménage ou la société non financière et l’agent déclarant conviennent d’une procédure de calcul du taux débiteur pour une certaine période, par exemple EURIBOR sur 6 mois plus 2 points de pourcentage sur une période de trois ans, la période initiale de fixation du taux n’est pas considérée comme étant de trois ans mais de six mois, puisque la valeur du taux d’intérêt peut varier tous les six mois au cours de ces trois ans.
