Criticises the EEAS for its failure to work together with Russia and the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood countries on ways and means to achieve coexistence between, and mutual enrichment of, the European Union economic space and the Eurasian (Customs) Union; welcomes the statement by the EU authorities to the effect that the Eastern partnership does not affect Russia’s economic, trade, social, human and cultural links to common neighbours; calls urgently on the EU and its Member States and the members and observers of the Eurasian Union to begin a constructive dialogue with a view to examining the possibilities for future cooperation in ...[+++]the common interest and for an end to rivalry;

11. Notes with interest that the Presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have signed an agreement for the establishment of a central integration body for the three countries, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on the 18 November 2011, a step in establishing the Common Economic Space (CES), known as well as the Eurasian Economic Union;

- having regard to the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds,

The thing is that we, as the European Union, live on this Eurasian continent and a large part of humanity is crowded into Asia.

That shows how closely our destinies have been intertwined in this Eurasian continent for many years.
