The Commission, on a proposal from Mr Vanni d'Archirafi, has approved a report on the application of the specific provisions of the Directive on a solvency ratio for credit institutions.1 When the Directive was adopted, it was left to the discretion of the Member States, subject to a number of restrictive conditions, to decide whether or not to exclude certain institutions from its scope.
La Commission vient d'approuver, sur proposition de M. Vanni d'Archirafi, un rapport sur l'application des dispositions specifiques de la directive relative à un ratio de solvabilité des établissements de crédit(1). Lors de l'adoption de la directive, une posssibilité d'exclure certains établissements du champ d'application de cette directive a été laissée à la discrétion des Etats membres, sous certaines conditions restrictives.
