I would ask the President to inform both the Israeli Government and the Palestinian Authority of the pain currently felt by millions of European citizens of the Christian religion at the sight of the holy places where Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem desecrated by bombs, fighting and occupation by armed soldiers, transformed into bivouacs for soldiers and becoming targets for both sides.
Je demande que le Président fasse part, tant au gouvernement israélien qu'à l'Autorité palestinienne, de la douleur que ressentent ces jours-ci des centaines de millions de citoyens européens de religion chrétienne, qui voient les lieux saints de Bethléem où naquit le Christ profanés par les bombes et les combats, occupés par des hommes armés, transformés en bivouacs de guerriers et devenus des cibles pour les deux factions.
