Les thèmes suivants seront abordés durant les travaux : rôle et structure du Service de Traduction, système et procédures de recrutement, profil et carrière du traducteur à la Communauté européenne, contribution de traducteurs indépendants au travail du Service de Traduction, outils du traducteur (traitement de textes, bases terminologiques, documentation, traduction assistée par ordinateur, etc).
The seminar will focus on the following: the role and structure of the Translation Service, recruitment system and procedures, typical profile and career prospects of a translator at the European Communities, the contribution made by free-lance translators to the work of the Translation Service, the translator's tools (word-processors, terminological databases, documentation, computer-assisted translation etc.).
